What does the Densiforce quality label stand for?
At De Sutter Naturally, we monitor every stage of our products: from the origin of the wood to the finished material. That is not new, but it is unique. And that is why we have a registered Densiforce® quality label as ultimate proof: a protected brand with which we perpetuate the quality and sustainability of our production process. Each product of De Sutter Naturally in impregnated softwood will bear this quality label.
How can you prove it?
The entire process, from origin to final product, is protected and documented. And that is how we make the difference across the board: origin, sawing process, drying process and impregnation to saturation. The Densiforce® label is placed on every fence and other wood solutions of De Sutter Naturally and the end customer receives a certificate as conclusive proof.
Is it also ecological?
In addition to being proof of a 100% quality production process, Densiforce® is also a 100% sustainable initiative. During the process, we use an improved impregnation agent to achieve a darker brown colour that is much more uniform and long-lasting. It is the environmentally friendly alternative to creosoted posts.
Why no more creosote-treated products?
Creosote products have been used for a long time for railway sleepers, garden timber and fences, mainly because of the effective protection against wood rot. However, they also have disadvantages such as a penetrating smell and irritation on contact with bare skin. Moreover, their use is severely restricted by the new European environmental standards. At De Sutter Naturally we no longer use creosote-treated wood for horse fences which makes us a pioneer on the Belgian market.
What makes Densiforce ® better than all de rest?
The unique combination of the origin of the wood, the controlled drying process and the impregnation to saturation with an improved impregnation agent, makes Densiforce® the new reference when it comes to the protection of softwoods against wood rot while respecting the environment.
