Verify the warranty
A wooden fence can last up to 30 years if it is made of thoroughly impregnated and carefully treated wood. When a fence is put up, an average person will not notice these differences in quality, seeing only a difference in the price.
It will take a few years before wood that has not been sufficiently treated will begin to rot. Therefore, always ask how long the warranty is on the wooden posts and crossbars.
At De Sutter Naturally we process all the timber ourselves. We carefully verify the quality and cut it into nicely rounded and smoothly planed planks and posts. This enables us to provide a 20-year warranty on softwood and a 30-year warranty on hardwood.
Select certified wood
Wood is an ecological choice if it is logged in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way. Unfortunately, some suppliers still use illegally logged timber to lower the cost price.
We believe that our great-grandchildren are also entitled to a world with sufficient forests, and we therefore work with certified timberlike FSC or PEFC.
